Ilva Tile, produced near Buenos Aires in Argentina has introduced a new design application process to compete with the ink jet technology. Silicon Verticial is a compact, versatile, accurate and fast printing machine which ensures no repetition and sharpness in order to emulate natural stone, marbles and woods. It is being used in producing Ilva’s Athena Stone and Travertino Classico, which is on display at all D&B locations.

The result of some 10years of research and development, the Silicon Vertical equipment makes it possible to vary the combinations of images reaching the edges of the tiles and printing in both “random” and “face by face” modes, allowing for perfect decorative results.
